Privacy policy

What we collect from this website

Only what you type into a form: your name, company, work email, the service you are asking about and anything you add in the message field. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not sell data, and we do not build profiles on visitors.

Why we hold it

To reply to your inquiry, to scope a possible engagement and to keep a record of who we have spoken to — which we are required to do for independence checks before accepting work. We do not add inquirers to a marketing list without asking.

Client information and confidentiality

Anything you share during an engagement is confidential under AICPA professional standards and our engagement letter, which is a stricter obligation than this policy. Evidence collected during an examination is held only for as long as our professional record-retention requirements demand, then destroyed.

Who else sees it

Our email, document storage and accounting providers, under contract and only as needed to run the firm. We do not disclose client information to anyone else unless you instruct us to, or unless we are compelled by law, subpoena or a peer review conducted under AICPA rules.

Your choices

Email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it where we are not required to retain it. If you are in the EU or UK, or covered by a US state privacy law, we will honour the access, correction and deletion rights those laws give you on the same basis.

Cookies

This site uses no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we later add basic analytics, this page will say which provider and what it records before it goes live.

Section two

Terms of service

Who we are

Assurion Services LLC is a licensed certified public accounting firm, registered in Wyoming, with its office at Suite 413, 1603 Capitol Ave, Cheyenne, WY 82001.

This site is information, not advice

Nothing on this website is accounting, audit, tax or legal advice, and reading it does not make you a client. No engagement exists until both of us sign an engagement letter setting out the scope, the standards it is performed under and the fee.

No opinion is expressed here

Descriptions of SOC 1, SOC 2 and SOC 3 examinations on this site are general. They are not an opinion on any organization's controls. An opinion exists only inside a signed report issued to a named client for a stated scope and period.

Attestation, not certification

SOC examinations are attestation engagements performed under AICPA standards. Assurion does not "certify" any organization as SOC compliant, and we ask clients not to describe our reports that way. ISO 27001 certification is issued by an accredited certification body, not by us; our role there is advisory and internal audit support.

Timelines and figures

Durations quoted on this site are typical ranges from past engagements, not commitments. Actual timing depends on scope, your readiness and how quickly evidence is provided. Any dates that bind us appear in the engagement letter.

Third-party names and marks

Framework and product names on this site — SOC, AICPA, ISO, HIPAA, HITRUST and others — belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively. Their use does not imply endorsement of Assurion by those bodies.

Content and links

Text, layout and graphics on this site belong to Assurion Services LLC. You may quote short extracts with attribution. We are not responsible for the content of any site we link to.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming. Where an engagement letter says something different, the engagement letter wins.

Section three

Fees, payment, refunds & cancellation

How fees are set

We do not operate a rate card. Every engagement is priced individually against its scope and quoted as a single fixed fee in writing before any work begins. The binding amount is the one stated in the engagement letter you sign — quoted in US dollars, exclusive of any applicable taxes, and held for the scope described in it.

Your fee is determined by the systems and locations in scope, the criteria or control objectives selected, whether the report is a Type I or a Type II and the length of any observation period, whether subservice organizations are carved out or tested inside your report, the state of your existing evidence, and whether this is a first cycle or a renewal.

Nothing is payable until you sign. Submitting a service request costs nothing, the scoping call costs nothing, and no card or bank details are collected at either point. You receive a written fixed-fee proposal within three business days of the scoping call, setting out the fee, the scope it covers, the deliverables, the timeline and the circumstances that would change it. If you do not proceed, you owe nothing.

Any change to scope after signature is agreed in writing, with its fee impact stated, before the work is performed. We do not operate subscriptions and nothing renews automatically — each cycle is quoted and signed again.

Payment terms

Unless your engagement letter states otherwise, examinations are invoiced 50% on signature and 50% on issue of the report. Recurring accounting work is invoiced monthly in arrears. Invoices are due within 14 days. We accept payment by card and by bank transfer; card payments are processed by our payment provider and we never store your card details.

Cancelling before work begins

You may cancel in writing within 14 days of signing the engagement letter and before fieldwork begins, and we will refund the deposit in full. Email contact@assurionservices.com — the date we receive your email is the cancellation date.

Cancelling once work has begun

You may cancel at any time on written notice. We will invoice only for work performed up to the cancellation date, itemised, and refund any balance of a deposit above that amount within 10 business days. Any work product already delivered remains yours to keep.

Refunds

Because these are professional services performed to order rather than goods, fees for work already performed are not refundable. We will, however, refund in full where we cancel the engagement ourselves, where we cannot accept the work for independence reasons after taking a deposit, or where an invoice was raised in error. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 business days.

A report you are not satisfied with

Tell us. If the deliverable does not match the scope in your engagement letter we will correct it at no charge. What we cannot do is change a finding or an opinion because the conclusion is unwelcome — our independence is what gives the report its value, and a fee dispute cannot alter it.

Complaints and chargebacks

Email contact@assurionservices.com and we will acknowledge within one business day and respond substantively within five. Please raise a dispute with us before initiating a card chargeback; almost everything is resolved faster directly.
